Ferry Ave PATCO Station Back
To PATCO Main Line
View
of cemetery where Walt Whitman is buried from PATCO train platform.
Walt
Whitman's Tomb across the street.
View of Ferry Ave. High Speed Line Station from Whitmans Grave.
The PATCO HIGH SPEED LINE, despite the impression the surrounding
area may give, is a very clean, well run modern commuter rail link.
View of dilapidated buildings looking south, opposite Harleigh cemetery.
( Opposite side of platform from Walt Whitman's grave.)
Looking East. Notice open areas available for development. Next stop:
Collingswood, just around the bend, one minute away across bridge. Traditional and charming
"walkable" small town America.
Building
on edge of Ferry Ave. PATCO parking lot awaiting an owner and TLC.
Abandoned buildings, one block east of Ferry Ave Station. Any development can be safely
enclosed and controlled, with a modern commuter line running right through the
middle, ten minutes in either direction of the highest purchasing and commercial
centers of the fifth largest market in America.
Abandoned properties a few yards south of FERRY AVE PATCO parking lot, west side of line.
Notice fence on left separating elevated tracks from street.
Another abandoned property at west end of FERRY AVE PATCO parking lot.
Empty building at edge of parking lot as seen from platform.

To really appreciate the location assets of PATCO's Ferry Ave. Station, you
must take a look at the surrounding areas. Visit the link titled "PATCO
Main
Line" at top of page and take a tour of the neighborhoods surrounding
PATCO's stations. The entire run is approximately 19 minutes from one end to the
other, and Camden lies smack dab in the middle, with the country's lowest urban
land prices while in the midst of a dynamic urban renewal.
